2011

The Assisted Living Federal of America (ALFA) has awarded Brookdale Senior Living two of ALFA’s 2011 Best of the Best Awards in the categories of Resident Dining Experience and Human Resources and Staff Development. This national award honors programs that demonstrate innovative operational excellence and a commitment to the future of senior living.

Brookdale Senior Living is pleased to announce that one of its Dining Services programs, Growing Together, has been recognized by the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) as part of the ALFA 2011 Best of the Best Awards. The awards program recognizes programs that raise the bar of excellence in senior living.

Sharon Stiles, the executive director at Sterling House Shelby, a Brookdale Senior Living assisted living community, has been honored with a Hero Award from the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) in the Executive Director category

2010

The Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) has awarded Brookdale Senior Living four of its prestigious 2010 Best of the Best Awards, a national recognition reserved for the nations most innovative and effective business practices in the senior living industry.

Lorinda Nicol, an LPN and Health and Wellness Director at Clare Bridge of Spokane, a Brookdale Senior Living Alzheimer’s/dementia care community, has been honored with a Hero Award by the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA).

2009

Three of Brookdale Senior Living's programs have been honored with national recognition from the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA). Brookdale’s Celebrations, Clare Bridge Dining Program and The Dollars and Sense Talk Show won ALFA’s 2009 Best of the Best Awards.  

Curtis Bond, a LPN of Southerland Place Midlothian, a Brookdale Senior Living assisted living and Alzheimer’s/dementia care community has been honored with a Hero Award by the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) in the nurse category.

2008

Brookdale Senior Living is pleased to announce that two of its programs were honored with national recognition from the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA). Brookdale’s Good People program and the Culinary Arts Institute at Brookdale won ALFA’s 2008 Best of the Best Awards.  

Dee Aponte, life enrichment coordinator of Sterling House Fort Myers, a Brookdale Senior Living assisted living community, received top honors and was recognized as the ALFA Hero in the staff member category
